DEVOUR IT CATERING TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

Definition:

‘Devour it Catering’ refers to The Trustee for the Crema Unit Trust trading as ‘Devour it Catering’ , ABN 73810304330

‘The Client’ refers to the customer booking any catering services with Devour it Catering

‘We, ours, us, etc.’ means Devour it Catering

‘You, yours, etc.’ means The Client

These Terms and Conditions may be amended by us at any time by updating them on our website. You should review these Terms and Conditions each time you access our website. By continuing to use and access our website you agree to be bound by the amended Terms and Conditions.

Staff Costs

Devour it Catering function staff are available for booking for a minimum of four hours, as per industry standard. Current rates are available for viewing HERE. Public holiday rates apply to respective dates; these will be quoted upon enquiry only. Bookings including staff must be confirmed 7 days prior to the date of the event.

Equipment

Devour it Catering can arrange any extra equipment you require for your event. Hire of equipment included is itemised in the quote, and includes a delivery and pick up charge. Any damage to or loss of hire equipment caused by the client, client’s guests, venues or venues employees will be charged to the client and invoiced after the event.

Prices

All prices quoted are inclusive of GST unless otherwise stated. Prices are subject to change.

Minimum orders

Minimum order quantities apply based on your postcode. Please contact the office for further information if required.

Deposit and Payments

Payment is required prior to delivery, unless authorized in advance. We accept payment by most credit cards, including Mastercard, AMEX and Visa (credit card surcharges apply). Our bank account details are located on each invoice for payment by direct transfer.

All quotes are subject to availability at the time of booking and a 50% deposit is required to secure the event date. No event is considered confirmed until deposit has been received. The balance will be invoiced upon confirmation of numbers 7 working days prior to the function and full payment of the function is required prior to the event date, unless other arrangements have been made previously. Any additional charges will be invoiced after the event.

Confirmation of Details

Menus, final numbers, dietary requirements and staff for functions are to be confirmed 7 days prior to the event. If the final numbers decrease after confirmation has been made you will be charged at your confirmed numbers.

Delivery only orders must be confirmed 48 hours prior to delivery. Payment is required prior to or on the day of delivery unless a Purchase Order Number has been received or by prior arrangement.

Dietary Requirements

Devour it Catering staff and suppliers prepare all food in accordance with the Food Standards set by Food Standards Australia and are HACCP Accredited.

The Devour it Catering kitchen and equipment used within may contain traces of nuts, egg, dairy, gluten and other know allergens. Although all care is taken by Devour it Catering to ensure these items are contained, we cannot guarantee that all dietary requirements will be met. Whilst we understand the serious implications of reactions to allergens and will endeavor not to cross contaminate your food, Devour it Catering will not accept responsibility or liability for an adverse reaction to our any of our food by any guest. Please inform any of your guests who have serious food allergies that if they are concerned that they will be able to bring their own allergen free food in some circumstances. Please check with your booking representative upon booking and they will inform the function staff of this arrangement.

GF gluten free, V vegetarian, VGN Vegan, DF dairy free

Cancellations

Staffed events that are cancelled less than 72 hours prior to the event for any reason, including weather or any other circumstances will incur a fee of 100% of the final invoice. Customers who cancel staffed events during peak time (November and December) with less than 7 days notice will not be refunded the initial 50% security deposit. Delivery only bookings that are cancelled with less than 48 hours notice may incur up to 100% fee, depending on the notice given.

Refund Policy

Due to many of our products being perishable or having a ‘short shelf life’ the majority of our products are unable to be returned or refunded, unless Devour It Catering has made an error in processing your order on our behalf.

We accept that mishaps unfortunately do occur - if the error is due to a mistake on our behalf please contact us immediately upon receiving your order and our delivery driver endeavour to collect the incorrect products (that must be in the same condition that you received them), and a refund will be provided for the affected products.

Any items that have been consumed possibly will be eligible for a partial refund.

We acknowledge that many of our valuable customers make multiple or regular orders. Should you wish to provide any feedback to Devour It Catering on a particular product or order, please contact us within 24 hours of the delivery of your order.

All agreed refunds will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your original method of payment, within a 5 business days.

Quality Control

Devour it Catering does not part cater any event, including the serving of cakes, desserts, BYO food of any nature without prior consent. This practice contravenes our Food Safety program. Please mention to your Devour it Catering booking representative during the initial quote stages if you plan to supply any foods from home or relative or registered food business. Images on our website and marketing material are styled for presentation purposes, and may not be indicative of the presentation of particular items ordered by the Client. Menus are subject to change according to seasonal and supplier availability. We do endeavour to alert clients to any changes, however, this is not always possible and in some instances some products may be substituted for similar quality ingredients.

Ordering cut off times

All orders must be placed by 1pm, 2 working days prior to the day that delivery is required.

Staffed functions require 1 weeks notice in order to book staff and any other equipment required.

Responsible Service of Alcohol

In accordance with the Liquor Licensing Act, Devour it Catering staff reserve the right to refuse to serve alcohol to guests under the age of 18 and guests who are intoxicated.

Deliveries

Delivery is available 7 days a week between 8am and 6pm on a weekday, 9am and 12 midday on Saturday and 10am and 2pm on Sunday.

Orders on a weekday can be delivered warm on request. As we continue to grow, there may be an instance where a few of our valued customers require delivery at the same time (we find lunchtime is popular!) We will always make sure that your order is delivered PRIOR to the time it is required in this case, and the earlier you place your orders the more we can guarantee you of your exact preferred delivery time.

We have a limited delivery service on a Saturday and a Sunday. Orders are delivered cold with easy to follow heating instructions, and the delivery time will be any time between 8am and 12 midday Saturday, and 10am and 2pm Sunday, depending on the delivery run on that particular day.

A delivery fee applies based on location. Delivery fees to locations further than 30 kilometres from the Devour it Catering kitchen in Port Melbourne are discretionary. You can check the delivery charge to your postcode by clicking on the 'check your postcode' tab on the bottom right of your screen.

Please ensure delivery access is always available to your location. If a mobile phone number is provided for contact, please ensure that mobile phone is switched on. If access is not available at agreed time of delivery, the driver may have to return at a later time resulting in an additional delivery fee, or the delivery may be cancelled at the discretion of Devour it Catering. Payment of the invoice will still be required.
