Staff

We have talented and experienced wait staff, bar staff, chefs and BBQ chefs available to cook and serve at your event. There is a minimum booking time of 4 hours, which is Industry Standard. For small fingerfood events we recommend minimum 2 staff members, one to heat and plate the food, and the other to serve the food to your guests. For events over 50 guests we suggest an additional waitperson for every 50 additional people, to make sure your guests leave your event happy and satisfied.

For BBQ functions of up to 40 guests you will need to book a BBQ chef and a catering assistant to help with the service of the food. For groups larger than 40, additional staff will be required.

Equipment

We have access to a wide range of equipment- everything that you can possibly require to throw a magnificent event, including glasses, linen, furniture, and heating equipment. You don’t need to return the glasses and plates clean- we can look after that for you. We can also assist you if you require table centerpieces, event styling, entertainment and marquee hire.

Equipment hire rates per day:

GLASSES- Wine, champagne, multipurpose $2.50 each

PORTABLE ELECTRIC OVEN- $200

CUPS, SAUCERS, PLATES, KNIVES, FORKS, etc.- $2.50 each

Delivery

Delivery is available 7 days a week between 8am and 5pm on a weekday, between 8am and 12 midday on Saturday, and between 10am and 2pm on a Sunday.

Orders on a weekday can be delivered warm on request. As we continue to grow, there may be an instance where a few of our valued customers require delivery at the same time (we find lunchtime is popular!) We will always make sure that your order is delivered PRIOR to the time it is required in this case, and the earlier you place your orders the more we can guarantee you of your exact preferred delivery time.

We have a limited delivery service on the weekend. Orders are delivered cold with easy to follow heating instructions, and the delivery time will be any time between 8am and 12 midday (Saturday), or 10am and 2 pm (Sunday), depending on the delivery run on that particular day.

A delivery fee applies based on location. Delivery fees to locations further than 30 kilometres from the Devour it Catering kitchen in Port Melbourne are discretionary.

Minimum order quantities apply depending on your postcode. Please contact us for further information.

Please ensure delivery access is always available to your location. If a mobile phone number is provided for contact, please ensure that mobile phone is switched on. If access is not available at agreed time of delivery, the driver may have to return at a later time resulting in an additional delivery fee, or the delivery may be cancelled at the discretion of Devour it Catering. Payment of the invoice will still be required.
